Appearance:

Straton is long, lean and freckly. A typical redhead, he had gangly limbs when he was a young teenager and has always had a mop of ginger hair and freckles covering every area of exposed skin. As he reached adulthood, he grew into his limbs and his long, horsey face became something that suited him.

He has hazel eyes and red eyebrows, eyelashes and whathaveyou. His natural hair is a strong ginger colour, not strawberry blonde or dark red, but he prefers a darker red and tends to keep it that way.

He is a metamorphmagus, a fact that very few people know about him. Any appearance changes are put down to potions or wandwork, assumptions that he actively promotes. Usually he sticks to changing his hair colour or length, and changing other aspects only very slightly when the occasion calls for it.

Straton's family is a fairly stereotypical Slytherin family, with a lot of pride in their name, history and money. They are slightly more laidback and willing to consider alternatives than some in their circle of acquaintances, and so Straton was encouraged when it turned out he had a natural tendency to be polite and friendly. Although Straton is the most pleasant person in his family, the other members are capable of being pleasant to most people they come across.
